Lead UX Designer | Spring 2024

Overview

As the Lead UX Designer, I collaborated with Rachel Rosenthal (Product Owner) and Rob Mihu (Technical Owner) to enhance Filevine’s AI document review process. Users struggled with AI-generated outputs presented as lengthy text blocks disconnected from source documents, requiring them to manually switch between tabs to verify data. This process was inefficient and eroded trust in AI-generated content.

Goal

Our goal was to create a more intuitive and reliable experience that streamlined document review and reinforced user confidence in Filevine’s AI Field.

Solution

I designed a side-by-side AI document viewer that seamlessly integrates AI-generated content with its source document. This interface allows users to verify information in context, eliminating the need for manual cross-referencing. Key features include in-line contextual references, intuitive navigation between AI output and original documents, and clear differentiation between AI and human-generated content.

Results

The redesigned AI validation experience significantly improved efficiency and user trust. Users were able to review documents faster, with fewer errors and less cognitive load. By reducing the friction in AI verification, we enhanced adoption of Filevine’s AI-powered tools and strengthened confidence in AI-generated data.
